Human psychological satisfaction is essential for attaining higher level productivity; however, managers must not forget that extrinsic factors are also important. Employee will not be satisfied if they have grievance for extrinsic factors such as salary or physical work environment. While appreciating humanistic theories, we must not ignore views like scientific management.
